Good morning my is Darlene im 43. I have done respite work for a 60 old lady. I would handle her meds cook her food.Tidy up her room and just sit with her while she is up. Most recent lady I worked with before she past I would need to help with making her meals and giving her meds. Help her with moving from room to room. Both of the ladies had Dementia. I used to work in a nursing home were I would make small meals do rounds of medicine. I would have to feed some of the patients I would have to assist some in shower care. I really like working with the elderly because they just need love and unconditional care. I do have my own vehicle if I would need to go shopping or for anything else. She proved to be quite unreliable. We had agreed to meet on a specific day and time so I could introduce her to my family, but she failed to show up without any communication - no calls, texts, or explanations. As a result, I had to drive with my kids to the meeting place, which took us half an hour, and then spend another half hour driving back home.
She is amazing. Very down to earth. My daughter loves her. I highly recommend her.
Worked well with my 11 year old Autistic twins. Darlene is friendly outgoing warm and very caring. An infectious smile that warms the room. She is thorough and a great caregiver.
