Hello. My name is Janet Schilz. I have over 8 years of elder care experience caring for (a) my mother and also (b) several clients at their individual residence including light meal preparation and housekeeping tasks, filing/organizing tasks, running errands, driving to nearby doctor or other appointments and/or social gatherings, administering medication, help with dressing/grooming/toileting, providing companionship/friendship, engaging in interactions such as reading aloud, crossword puzzles, board games, card games, etc. for mental stimulation and to pass the time. I am a mature, nurturing, patient, compassionate, and very attentive caregiver, as well as being a reliable, trustworthy, and upbeat individual. I am a good listener, take instruction well, and have a strong desire to always give the highest quality of care to the individual(s) I am caring for. I have work experience as an administrative assistant, childcare provider, and foodservice worker. I have volunteer experience as an English/math tutor for children ages 6 through 10, assisting with hospital patient and senior center resident transport duties, and various housekeeping tasks.
