Hello my name is Sandy, I sought to be a professional caregiver, after my mother and I shared the experience the long goodbye- she had Alzheimer's. She cared for her children with all her heart and now needed to be cared for. I wanted her to be treated with dignity, and I was honored to be there for her.
I was blessed to meet my friend Helen and be her caregiver from 2022 to 2025.
I believe every individual's needs are three-fold- physically, mentally and emotionally.
I make it a point to gather as much information of their schedule of medications, meals, their routine, likes and dislikes- from the family member in charge. Then I will give focus on speaking directly to my client. I feel it's very important to develop a personal connection and to treat my client with dignity.
