I remember my grandmother being in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s disease and not knowing who I was. I very recently had to say goodbye to my mother and I took care of her at home. I drive by facilities and see the faces of people looking out and think, “they just need a friend”. I’m not special or possess any in depth skills but it’s nice to have a friend every now and then to talk to. I love gardening, shopping, thrift stores, memories.
