I am a non-smoking (never have!!) Single mother of 2 beautiful, smart and active girls, ages 9 and 11. We keep busy with work, school and family. Activities outside of that include walking on the Monon, gardening, spending time with friends and family, puzzles, arts and crafts and snuggle time at night with a good movie. We have cats and a dog. We love animals so much! We live in Carmel and I grew up in Westfield, not too far from where we live now. I have always been a caregiver in some aspect of my life. My grandfather had a stroke when I was very young. My mother and I helped my grandmother take care of him for 16 years after his stroke, which left him wheel chair bound. I would fix him meals, feed him, sit with him and watch tv, take him out on the patio for fresh air/ nature watching, etc. After he passed, I helped with other family members. I was a nanny in Carmel for a few years to a little boy, Max when I was in high school. I always had babysitting jobs and later on after college, became a nanny again for a couple in Nantucket island, Massachusetts for their daughter, Emily. She was about 4 when I started amd 7 when I moved back to Carmel. I have always loved helping the elderly. There is a calming, peaceful sense of being around them. I love all their stories of the olden times and their visions of the past. I have always wanted to become a nurse that takes care of the elderly, just haven't reached that goal yet. I am CPR certified. I don't have any other certifications, however I do have a lot of life experiences that make me a qualified candidate to help you out.
