I have a little over 2 years experience caring for developmentally and/or intellectually disabled adults in a professional capacity. I have training and experience in de-escalation, humane holds and deflection in the event of violent maladaptive behaviors, g-tubes, j-tubes, hoyer lifts, medication administration, patient's/client's rights, basic first aid and CPR, therapeutic diets and nutrition, as well as experience working with a range of disabilities from Autism, Down Syndrome, Rhett Syndrome, Lupus, to Cerebral Palsy. Although my professional experience is with adults, I am open to working with children.
I am a certified Direct Support Professional in Illinois and Indiana, cleared to work with vulnerable clients.
