I love being a caregiver because it's always been a rewarding and blessed job for me. I've had one client family tell me that her bed-bound father and I haven't spoken in a while, but once I had become the client's caregiver and showed compassion and he felt that he knew that I loved what I do. He would smile as soon as I walked in. I have had clients who I have seen overcome their challenges, where I assisted them even in physical and occupational therapy. I put a lot of pride in what I do. The experience I have is grooming, toileting, bathing, light house cleaning, medication reminder, Hoyer lift, side by side assist, wheel chair, walker, transfer board, oral cleaning, hospice, dementia, Parkinson's disease. I have dementia training, I am currently taking HHA and PCA courses, and recently renewed my CPR license.
