I am RN with 40 years of experience who is not really ready to give up being with the Elderly whom I love. I enjoy providing service to them, and their families whom for the most part have been their caregivers, therefore they do require a rest/ break. I understand this because that was myself when my mom was alive. I took her into my home & cared for her until she died. Although I continued to work a full-time job & it was challenging I enjoyed being able to honor her by providing care to her. After she passed I took other Elderly people home & cared for them, as well. Now as I'm come to the
end of my journey in my nursing career I'm not ready to stop giving this love to others. This is why I believe I would be an asset as a companion or respite worker.
