Vickie B. Care Companion in Schererville, IN 46375

I have owned a dog and several other pets, including cats, ducks, parrots,turtles, and frogs. I've always had a dog since I was a little girl. Usually doxies. Animals are way easier to be around and love. They feel the same way about anyone who will give them a chance. We currently only have one dog, a dachshund named Frodo Baggins. We lost two this year. My baby boy, a Lhasa named Harry Potter, and a mixed cutie that was my mom's named Samwise.
I am currently a caregiver for my husband of 42 years. He is disabled and an Army veteran. He needs assistance with some every day living activities. I am his chauffeur, as he doesn't drive much any more. Up until a couple of years ago, I also cared for my mom who was at the time 97. She would have been 100 this year.
I worked at the Lake County public libraries for about 15 years. Loved it. Miss it as well. But my husband needs me.
Have my certification as an advanced Master Gardner from Purdue. Gardening and landscaping are a passion for me. Love doing crafts. I used to do craft shows, but it was difficult to do alone without my husbands help. We've lived in Scherervill for almost 40 years. Love our town.
