I enjoy seeing people who need just a bit of help, get to stay mostly independent. Allow them to live their lives on their terms, while providing just enough care and support to allow that. Being able to give friends and family peace of mind knowing their loved ones are getting a caring companion to help them with any daily needs they may have.
I have just over 3 years paid experience providing care and companionship to elderly (aging) people. I loved getting to know my clients and listening to their stories. Being able to be a part of their lives was a joyful experience. In addition to the paid experience, I also have 2 more years providing care and companionship for 3 of my aging relatives.
I have taken first aid and cpr classes. Have held certifications in both. And I am open to renewing my certifications as necessary.
I feel privileged to have been there for them so that they could live out their senior years in their homes and live those lives with a level of independence for them and peace of mind for their loved ones.
