Nina’s Bio
Elder care is a much needed service and can be a joy when you have patience and focus on their needs. I have worked in a nursing home, helping the direct care staff when they were short handed. I am NOT a CNA or medical professional. I also cared for my parents for over 6 years. My Mom had dementia and needed supervision and potty reminders. I help with bathing and dressing, and meals prepared for both of my parents. My Dad had fainting spells and needed supervision when walking. I have taken CPR training and I had to provide CPR a number of times.
Empathy and patience are very important when caring for our elders. As an active, healthy "elder" myself, I have a greater understanding of what is needed.
