Barbara’s Bio
I have lots of experience caring for children but would not rule out the idea of caring for someone older, that is still independent but can not be left alone all the time or maybe does not want to be alone, for instance after surgery and family members can not due to other responsibilities, be with them. My age preference for children, infants to pre-school age.
I worked in health care for more than fifteen years, I worked in juvenile homes for four years, and my the last job I had, caring for three children lasted from September of 2002 until September of 2014. The oldest of the three has Type1 Diabetes and I was, still am part of his health care team and also his advocate because of his diabetes. I know basic first aid, CPR, and over all, know what to do in emergencies.
