I’ve been a caregiver for a little over 30 years and I love what I do. In this field you have to have a heart,patience,understanding,willingness and a love for what you do and who you do it for no matter the age,gender,race or religion! Anything other than that,you’re defeating the purpose and this job or type of work is not for you! I’ve helped take care of family members, friends and my mom also until she lost her battle with cancer and kidney failure. I’m the oldest of six,which I helped raised since the age of ten years old and a nephew. I’ve worked with ALS,dementia,Alzheimer’s,bed bound,mental health and etc. I clean,cook,laundry,shopping,bathing,grooming,transferring,feeding,doctor appointments,medications and other needs.God blessed me with this calling and no I’m not perfect but if you,trust me and give me a chance to love on your loved ones the way Jesus Christ loves us, you won’t regret it!
