I love helping people. Being a caregiver allows me to provide companionship and help the client maintain a degree of independence in their own home. It is important, as we age, that we are able to feel like we are still capable of doing things for ourselves.
I have worked with people of all ages with mobility issues, dementia, cognitive issues, and musculoskeletal/neurological issues. I worked as an LPN for over 20 years but started feeling burned out and got away from the medical field entirely for several years. I am not currently licensed and do not have my CPR or First Aid certifications at this time, but I am looking into getting all of these back.
