I have a great skill with clients who have dementia. Earlier in my life my grandmother also suffered from this disease and I learned quickly how to help her without her having to remember why I was there. Sometimes with these clients I have found that routine is the most familiar. I adapt to theirs quickly, it allows my clients a sense of familiarity and comfort. Because of this gift I enjoy to embrace it. Not only for my clients but for their loved ones as well. Those who have to worry about their seniors get a moment of breath when I can offer my services to them.
