Sarah S. Care Companion in Boston, MA 02127

Hello! My name is Sarah Spear and I grew up on the south shore in Marshfield, MA, but decided to move to the city, as it's closer to work. In 2017, I graduated from Westfield State University with a degree in Special Education. Teaching is my passion and I'm lucky to do it everyday. I currently teach a substantially separate preschool classroom for children with Autism (ages 3-5). In addition, I am pursuing my master's degree. When I'm not working, I love baking, being outside, playing games, and spending time with my family and friends. I moved to Charlestown this September, so I am also spending time getting to know my new neighborhood.

I have worked with individuals with special needs (intellectual, medical, and behavioral) for over 15 years. Students are the majority of my experience, but I was a caregiver for a young adult for 4 years, as well as cared for my grandparents with Alzheimers and other medical conditions. My first job was working with at a nursing home, and I found much comfort in chatting with the residents and learning about their life. Everyone needs companions in their life, and I'm happy to be that for someone else!
