I am a 56 year old woman who has had the uique opportunity to be a "stay-at-home-mom" for the past twenty years. A few great experiences have brought me to embarking on a child and elder care career.

When I was a teenager, I helped my grandparents with grocery shopping as well as gardening and other chores. One time, they even asked me to help wallpaper the living room. When I was finished, they were so grateful. I remember how appreciative and happy they were with the new, fresh look, in the room.

Years, later, when I homeschooled my children, I in turn was grateful for the opportunity to be able to spend time with my children. We learned together and we were able to form tight relationships with each other because of the extra time together that is not always there when children are at school during the day. We also developed strong friendships with other families and I was able to run classes for groups of children to help them learn.

My education and background is mainly in business, but I would like to have more flexibiliby in my work schedule and work more closely with people. I enjoy nuturing and creating. I love to cook and have experience preparing a variety of food having raised three children. I own and maintain two homes with my husband, which has given me a good deal of training in homeownership responsibilities and care. I volunteer at a children's camp in the summer in Martha's Vineyard. I also have volunteere at Community Rowing at the para rower program. I own a dog and two cats.
