Heather’s Bio
Besides caring for children from premature twins to teenage years, prior to becoming a nanny I cared for the elderly including hospice . I held certifications as a CNA/ HHA, CPR and First Aide as well as med tech . My responsibilities varied depending on patients needs which include but not limited too: transfer immobile patient ( bed to chair etc / Boyer lift use ; personal care ( bathing, dressing, oral and hair care/ assist with personal care ); feedings ( assist patient with their daily meals including meal prep); assist with using the bathroom/ commode ) ; provided companionship which included talking / listening to patient , participation with games , elderly functions etc ; med reminder ; errands ( grocery shopping, Drs and dental appointments etc; light cleaning around home ( dishes , vacuuming, patient’s laundry etc ). I loved being a caregiver for people of all ages . Knowing that I made someone’s day a little easier and brighter is the most fulfilling to me .
Currently, I’m seeking a position that doesn’t require heavy lifting ( unable to transfer patients if immobile. However, I’m able to assist patient with daily tasks , provide companionship , prepare meals / assist with feeding; errands and light housework.
If I seem like I’d make a great fit , I have open availability including nights / weekends as well as overnights
