My name is Maria Torres I graduated from medical school in Nicaragua 5 years ago.
I work there as a doctor in Hospitals and Clinics as well as via Telehealth.
I then had the opportunity to move to the United States in July 2021.
When I arrived here, I began to take English classes at two different schools.
I completed the clinical medical assistant program at Lare Institute in Andover.
I enjoyed getting back to working with patients, taking their vital signs, and assisting doctors in physical exams and other procedures.
I really enjoy helping to make their experience easy and enjoyable.
This experience has helpt to reinforce my belief in myself, and that I am happy est when working in the medical field.
I currently work at Urgent Care, but I would be interested in expanding my knowledge and empathy in caring for the elderly, children, and babies.
I have a CPR First Aid certificate.
