recently moved back to CO from Cape Cod, where I lived and worked as a senior caregiver for the last five years. I have three grown kids who live here as well as a new granddaughter so moving back to colorful Colorado was a very easy decision! Having moved to my family's vacation home in MA, I had to reinvent myself due to the lack of professional jobs on Cape Cod. I had initially considered looking for a job working remotely out of my home but I am a people person and decided I didn't want to sit in front of a computer and be isolated everyday. Having always enjoyed the elderly and working with people, I decided to explore a career as a caregiver and companion. It has turned out to be a very enjoyable and highly rewarding career. I have met and befriended many wonderful people! My experience includes working with people with chronic medical conditions as well as dementia. I have worked both as part of a team as well as an individual caregiver. I have also helped transition people from living in their homes with aid to moving to an assisted living facility. I think it is very important to keep family members and team caregivers informed of changes to behaviors and/or conditions and good communication is key. I am honest, dependable and extremely kind and caring. I am smart, college educated and possess a good sense of humor and think most people would describe me as very personable.
