I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with adults and children with varying ranges of developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Notably, in college, I worked with students with various ID/DD that attended a program hosted by my university that prepared students for transitioning into adult life. I assisted students by traveling with them to work sites, prompting appropriate work behavior, travel training, and more. Additionally, I also was a caregiver for a year and change for a family in my neighborhood for a child with ID/DD and her sibling in which I assisted with school pick up and drop off, travel to appointments, enrichment activities (swimming, parks, walks), and basic home/hygienic care.
