Hello, my name is Kristen. I currently am a caregiver twice a week for a woman who is recovering from a stroke. I take her to her OT and PT appointments, light housekeeping, I help her with her medication, also wound care. I also have experience with caring for someone who has dementia. My grandfather who we lived with became very ill after my grandmother passed away. I saw him deteriorate every day. And I saw his need for help with everyday things. Like getting dressed in the morning, brushing his dentures, making sure he had someone with him round the clock as his disease worsened became my parents top priority. So I helped out, after school and on weekends. I know how important loved ones are to us and how important it is to treat them as if they were your family. I do not have a degree or certificate, however my experiences are very valuable and lasting. I offer companionship, light house cleaning, meal prep, assistance with bathing, brushing teeth, getting dressed, Transportation, and making sure they take their medication.
