I have worked as a companion for stroke victims (family and work related) elderly patients with diabetes, dimentia, and fibromyalgia. I have helped with daily routine care, medication monitoring while documenting meals, activities, medications, and test results for doctors or caregivers. I have transported them to appointments and monitored assets, provided household cleaning and chores....I enjoy hearing the stories about their lives or just keeping them company and doing whatever is needed to contribute to them having the best quality of life possible. I have met some really great people who didn't always love their carbs counted or to be monitored constantly but they turned out to be some of the people who left the biggest imprint on my heart. I love to help people feel like themselves again, and I will always be someone who do more than what my job description consists of because I care. I know what it feels like to watch family deal with these ailments or health restrictions and I know how important it is to have someone that you can trust in that position.
