David’s Bio
I initially became interested in caring and assisting in the needs of the elderly while choosing to live with my elderly grandparents while I completed my undergraduate degree in music. In 2015, I lived in Newton with an 89 year-old man with physical handicaps. Some of the numerous tasks include transportation and running errands, chef, housekeeping and organization, reading, and landscaping, physical assistance, and bedtime routines.
Additionally, as a musician who is passionate about retirees, I started a beginning/intermediate orchestra in 2012 made up of senior citizens in connection with the Osher LifeLong Learning Institute on the campus of California State University, Fullerton. Currently, I teach beginning saxophone at the Brookline Adult and Continuing Education and have given well-received lectures at the Brookline Senior Center.
