I have worked in Human Services and Social Services for over 8 years. I currently work for Horace Mann Educational Associates (HMEA) in Franklin, Ma which is a non-profit that specializes in direct care and educational programs for both autistic and developmentally challenged children and adults. I am both a Community Integration Specialist specializing in behavioral and communication therapies as well as a Direct Care Staff member in one of the community group homes funded by the Dept. of Developmental Services (DDS) and HMEA. I am also an active associate volunteer for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually impaired since May 2012 helping coordinate outside service activities with visually disabled and developmentally challenged clients and responsible for transporting them safely to their appointments, grocery shopping, library, post office, mall, parks, restaurants, etc. as well as help facilitate job coaching/career coaching skills including resume writing, references, job applications, interviewing techniques.
