Solana’s Bio
My name is Solana, I am from Worcester MA. I graduated from Umass Amherst with a BA in Psychology. As a child, I helped care for my mother who was sick, and when I got older I got a job in a residential group home. I am an empathetic and compassionate person with a lot of energy and a sense of humor. I like caring for others and helping them find joy in life if I can. I have worked in a residential group home with about 30 residents. Each person was different and part of the job is learning to interact with people on an individual basis. What might work for some does not work for others. I have worked with people who were non-verbal, others verbally aggressive as well as physically aggressive. I am well versed in assisting with personal hygiene routines and following schedules. I have worked overnights and mornings, taken residents on medical appointments, and administered daily medications. I have done training in trauma informed care as well as safe restraint training.
I am not squeamish or easily offended, I am resilient and have very flexible hours.
