Alison’s Bio

I have a friendly, patient and compassionate disposition with residents. I have been a caregiver for families for over 17 years. I have experience cooking, cleaning, gardening, running errands, planning outings, activities, bathing, hair cut/ styling. I still encourage taking care of personal hygiene as independently as they are able to do for themselves.
I assist in taking clients to their appointments. I relay information between the families and doctor. I document daily observations of how my clients abilities and condition. Communicating with families, co-workers and supervisors regarding care- relaying if the client is in pain, request to see a doctor, sharing photos of them happy and comfortable
Assisting with transfer and mobility- taking clients,
shopping and running errands, allowing them to still shop independently, taking clients on outings, and appointments.
My clients appreciate the extra time I'm able to spend with them. Having a social life is important. Some facilities don't have enough staff to spend time with the patients as well as meeting all of their needs in a timely manner. Other job duties: Help clients with mobility restrictions to get out of bed, bathe, dress, and groom
Deliver basic health services like recording pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate Help with prescribed exercises.
An aide or Personal Care Aide, supports patients with difficulties completing basic tasks, like people with disabilities, the elderly or patients suffering from mental disorders. Their main duties include administering medications, helping patients complete personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, eating or grooming and following the patients’ prescribed healthcare plan.
Serving as a companion to clients
Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
Managing medication
Interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
Performing light housekeeping duties (e.g., keeping room clean, laundry)- making the bed, organizing laundry, making sure client knows where I put it, especially those with dementia.
Providing bathing and dressing assistance- assisting with shower while sitting in chair, washing hair, drying and styling hair.
Keeping proper care records and reporting changes to nursing team- documenting

Alison applied to my job that clearly states where I live and all details. I replied, asking her if she was available to interview. She responded asking me where I live again which I found very peculiar considering it’s in the ad at the top. I let her know where I live, which is a very nice neighborhood and I also let her know that it was only 15 minutes from where she lived. It’s been a week and she’s never gotten back to me so either this is a fake profile or somebody who does not value a mother’s time. RED FLAG either way
