- [ ] I’m a n energetic,, but soothing 60 year old woman. 
I put career on hold when my father required round the clock caretaking. I manage all aspects of his caretaking needs. Making sure he took his medicine on time, making meals that he was able to eat, taking him to the doctors, bathing and dressing. But the 
Most important thing I did, was to be a companion and friend to him. 
His slow agonizing demise from Parkinson’s was difficult to watch.However, the time we spent together for 11 months, was sacred and fulfilling. I am proud to say I never considered putting him in assisted living. 
Less than a year, when he passed, I found out my mother had stage 4 breast cancer. Once again, I put my carer of being an advertising executive, to be by her side at all times. Meeting the other brave and optimistic patients at her chemotherapy treatments, was life changing. 
Her slow and anguishing death was painful and overwhelming. 
But, just as with my father, it was more bonding and fulfilling than any previous time we had when she was healthy.. Assisted living was never an option. I returned to my career, after she left opthis earth, but my heart was never in it again. I became a full time professional caretaker . I have had 5 longtime positions caring for wonderful and beautiful elderly people.. 
It is my belief that the elderly should be able to 
maintain their sense of value and integrity. I treat them with the utmost respect and decency., just as I did with both of my parents. 
I enjoy taking those who are willing and able,,on outings, or just for a drive. My husband was a French Chef, and I love to cook. 
When I am in the home of someone I’m helping, I treat them 
as though their the boss. Because, they are the kings and queens of their own castle
