I am currently a student in college working on my associate transfer degree. I plan to continue all education related to geriatric and caregiver. I became unemployed in October 2014 and found it was a blessing in disguise. My neighbor was diagnosed with dementia and his younger wife was in need of someone to assist when she worked. I realized then, what it was in life I really loved to do and wanted to do. I was a companion and helped with meals, light housework, changing of clothes and diapers when needed, helped with personal hygiene and became a great listener to his wonderful life stories. I am a mother of four adults and a grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy organizing, decorating, cooking, pets, bowling, walking and listening. I would like the opportunity to become a great companion and will achieve any training or certifications necessary.
