Sarah’s Bio
Experienced caregiver and companion for children and adults with medical, cognitive, or developmental support needs including Autism, Alzheimers, Down syndrome, speech-language delay, ADHD, and others. A former special education teacher, I am also a mom, granddaughter, and sibling to individuals with complex needs. I'm a patient and attentive caregiver. I am comfortable providing dressing, feeding, and hygiene support and light housekeeping and other logistical supports (sorting mail, taking notes at doctor appointments, managing schedules, etc.). But frequently the most important part of my role is companionship - I love hearing about my clients' lives and building caring relationships. I am fairly active and am happy to go on walks, cook, do puzzles, and come up with other creative ways to keep the mind and body engaged.
I am looking for part-time work while my daughter is in full-day preschool (8am-3pm) in Silver Spring. I'm CPR/First Aid Certified and have my own transportation with a clean driving record. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted.
