In addition to my qualifications and experience, I became a caregiver because I wanted to change the way Medicine and Caregiving works. I didn't have the best experience when my grandfather passed away, unfortunately but it only pushed me to study harder and pursue my dream to be able to give love and care for others, the way I wish my grandfather was treated. Being a mother also allows me to connect and understand my patients/clients and it helps me build patience for one another. Becoming an aunt at such a young age has also allowed me to gain experience, I remember I was always so eager to baby sit. Almost every night I volunteered to wake up in the middle of the nights to change diapers and prepare formula, even if I had to wake up the next day for school! I'm always excited to try new things. I'm always excited to help others and be able to make a better difference in their days. Being a Mother, Aunt, and a CNA/ Caregiver has been the best decision I have ever made in my life.
