I have over 20 years experience as a nanny and in the past year I was the primary caregiver for a cancer patient. He recently passed away. I was responsible for readying him for numerous doctor appointments and treatments, medication management, bathing...everything and anything to give him quality of life. Often times I was with him 24/7.. As a nanny, outings are very important to me. I took the same approach with R. We went out often. Museums, sculpture gardens, river walks, National Mall. I know these "field trips" made a huge difference in his life. Take all necessary precautions, of course. I just see no reason to stay home and watch life pass by.
I am athletic. Strong, both emotionally and physically . I am upbeat, a silver linings gal.
