My mom was my first experience with caregiving I was there 24hrs a day 7 days a week with no real understanding of what this responsibility required My mom also suffered for dementia and that was also a unfamiliar territory for me What i found was not only did i have a passion for caregiving but i also was patient observant loving and supportive I was able to tap into someone else pain and joy and respond the way i would want others to respond to me Since then I have cared for two others since . I didnt know that this was a gift until i experience it I promise to treat and take care of others the way i would want someone to take of me and my love ones
