Allison P. Care Companion in Towson, MD 21286

Hello all!!
I am interested in working/assisting/caring for anyone with any spectrum of disability. Since I was a child, I have grown up helping my uncle Jon, he has Down syndrome. It has always been a passion of mine and it truly brings me joy. I have about 15 years of experience working with Down syndrome, with my uncle and some students in high school.
My uncle lives in Buffalo New York, with my residence in Maryland, I don’t see him very often. I also have a cousin with Down syndrome. One thing I have learned from them is people with Down syndrome are the sweetest most down to earth humans that walk this earth. They’re a gift.
When I was in high school, sophomore and junior year, half of my days were spent working with our special needs kids. I also participated in unified tennis with them. Unfortunately Covid hit and I was no longer able to participate. But those were certainly my best days in high school when I look back.
Overall, I’m looking to fill a void that his been missing. Working with any disability is amazing and I could for-see my future career following this passion.
