Hello!!

My name is Rebecca and I am a 35 year old mother of one beautiful 8 month old baby girl. My daughters name is Madilyn. she is the most laid back happy baby!! I am looking for a situation where I would be able to have my daughter come along with me. Although I do understand if this is something you would not be comfortable with, I would then make other arrangements for her during my time with you.

My past experiences and responsibilities as a care giver included:

Transporting clients to locations outside the home, such as to physicians' offices, grocery stores, and any errands they might have had

Planned, shopped for, and prepared nutritious meals

Assisted client with bathing, dressing and other personal hygiene items

Administered medication, and kept a daily journal of medicine intake

Completed light housekeeping duties; planned and prepared meals; changed bed linen

Responded to all physical and emotional needs of the patient

Offered emotional support, companionship and conversation

Provided patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed

I am a graduate of Loch Raven High school. my training has been given on the job by other nurses or care givers. The training includes safety information, emergency response, and cooking special dietary foods if needed.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have a one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I enjoy working with all ages, but older adults I feel I can get along well with, just as well as I do with younger adults and children.

The reason I love being a caregiver is because caregiving has changed how I live my life.
I have learned so much and gained valuable life skills.
Caregiving is an extremely rewarding job. Caregivers take care of our elders, the people who have given so much to this world. Taking care of people is something I can be proud of. Some residents become lonely or sad, but a great caregiver can help them change their mood for the better.

What makes me a good caregiver is my positive attitude, I engage with every person I work with, I am highly motivated, I am honest, reliable, I am very flexible with the days and times I would be needed to work, and I am very patient and kind.
