Laurie’s Bio
I am a 57 y.o. teacher (I have been fingerprinted!) and empty-nester who enjoys caring for people. Having raised two children and as a teacher, and having spent much time with both of my parents who had Alzheimer's before they passed, I have much experience caring for people.
Although I have not been formally trained in being a care companion, I was a live-in companion and care giver for an elderly neighbor for nine months last summer and I enjoyed it so much that I would love to be a care companion during the summers when I am not teaching.
Although I am not available to stay overnight, my summer schedule is very flexible and I am available at any time from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Depending upon the day, I can also be available for last-minute scheduling.
