My name is Ari, and I'm a 19-year-old rising Sophmore at Rice University in Houston, TX. I'm pursuing a degree in History and Sociology, with a certificate in Education. I feel most myself when I am working as a caretaker or mentor. I was employed for years as an outdoor recreation teacher at a University of Maine-run summer camp, so I'm no stranger to working with multiple people and addressing concerns of safety, comfort, and engagement. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. I am particularly experienced in dealing with a wide range of allergy / autoimmune issues, learning disabilities/challenges, and mental health concerns. I have specific experience with Diabetes Type I, Celiacs Disease, ADHD, and mood disorders. I love telling stories, visiting museums, crafts projects, outdoor activities, and making learning fun.
