Jenny’s Bio
I worked for Listening Ear in Mt. Pleasant as a Direct Care Worker for a year and a half after highschool and during my freshman year of college. I worked in my different homes with adult that were mentally or physically handicapped. There was also a senior home that I would occasionally work at too.
I am a friendly person and feel I would be a great care companion, helping people out with tasks, talking with them, and helping them to get out into the community. I can help with grocery shopping and tasks the individual needs to get done along with helping the individual find some fun activities to do outside the home. I am able to connect with people easily feel that is important.
This job is not just about the things you do with an individual. For me, it is also about making that personal connection with the individual, listening to that person talk, and providing social and emotional support to the individual.
