I helped him take his medications on time, assisted with his physical therapy routines, helped him shower and get dressed, made sure he had his meals, and spent quality time with him watching his favorite movies and shows. That experience taught me how important it is to be consistent, gentle, and emotionally supportive.

My grandmother, who was more independent, leaned on me for help with outdoor and household tasks. I helped her with gardening, mowing the lawn, laundry, dishes, and anything else she needed. It gave me a strong sense of responsibility and a deep respect for the daily work it takes to care for someone with love and dignity.
Being raised by them gave me the patience, understanding, and hands on experience that I carry into my role as a caregiver today.
