I have done caregiving most of my life. I have done mainly childcare and a few years of elderly care. I first started elderly caregiving in 2007. I have cared for mostly women and a couple of men. I have worked for elderly care agencies and individual people who would run adds for care online. In 2012, I was on a team of Hospice caregivers where I first learned about caring for someone on Hospice.
In 2013, I took care of my fiancé on Hospice care even though he wasn’t elderly. A year and a half later, in 2014, I took care of my elderly 90 year old mom full-time. We ended up living together, as she needed a caregiver at all times.
