Mareesha D. Walker has over 11 years of experience working with women, families, and babies. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, she is certified full spectrum and postpartum doula. She received her training with Sisters in Loss, an organization that honor the stories of Black women who have suffered infant loss and fertility issues. She received additional childbirth education training with DC Birth Doulas Lamaze Community Birth Educator program and IBCLC prep training with the DC Breastfeeding Coalition. Mareesha graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Trinity Washington University with a Master of Science in Adminstration in Public and Community Healthcare Management. She is also a certified health education specialist, former classroom teacher, and home visitor of families with infant and toddler children.
I became a partner for families because I love children. I also learned that the best way to take care of children is to be there for the entire family.
