Mayumi’s Bio
Hi there! My name is Mayumi, and I worked as a care companion for my grandmother before she passed away a few years ago.
She had dementia, which could be difficult at times, but with a lot of smiles, patience, and playing music from her youth, we were able to work through those difficult moments.
While my grandma lived in the senior living home that she resided in, I would visit her daily, assist her in walks, and lead her through a seated fitness class. I formerly taught Silver Sneakers group fitness classes at LA Fitness, a class specified for seniors, so I am very qualified to lead older adults through both seated and non-seated fitness classes, if this is something that interests you and your elderly loved one.
I am a great cook (I have worked in a few different restaurants as a cook) and can prepare delicious meals, as well as assist in any household duties that you require.
