Working through my student teaching experiences hand-in-hand with various groups of school aged youth taught me how to create welcoming relationships that foster compassion, guidance, and understanding. Studying social habits as a sociology major has expanded this capability to fit numerous demographics. Additionally, studying sociology has taught me the value of always seeking to expand who I am capable of working with/around as in one way or another we are all connected. All throughout my life I have been known for my social intelligence and it’s my belief, along with a vast number of social scientists, that an individual’s social intelligence is the root of all their intellectual capabilities. Therefore, I possess a skillset that would allow for me to pursue a great deal of career opportunities. However, none seem half as appealing as dedicating myself toward the embitterment of our society as a whole.
