Shortly after graduating college, I became a companion to a senior in a retirement community. I was inspired to do this after seeing my own grandparents adapt to their nursing homes and work through their own mobility and memory challenges. While I was with my companion, I would cook dinner and help her with her night-time routine. We also had some fun! We loved watching old re-runs of Andy Griffith, we would play wheel-of-fortune, and we enjoyed sharing stories about our lives. I would love to bring this same type of care to your loved one!
