Jessica’s Bio
I am an educator by profession. I have a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in English. I also have a M.A. in Education from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. I have experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels, and I held a MN State Teaching License for over 20 years. I was a stay-at-home mom by day, and an Adult Basic Education/English as a Second Language Instructor by night. I was an elementary education teacher, and I have experience owning and operating my own home childcare business. In addition, I taught English at the Dakota County Technical and Community College. My teaching career was put on a back-burner when my own parents suffered simultaneous, debilitating medical emergencies. While I expected my care for my parents to be only temporary, I ended up being their primary care provider for eight years, until their conditions became too difficult for me to care for alone. In my many experiences as mother, teacher, childcare provider, and eldercare provider, I have learned many things about providing care to the old and the young. I have also learned that what I've enjoyed most about working as a professional caregiver is that I enjoy nurturing those populations in our society that are at their weakest and most vulnerable. I would love the opportunity to discuss with you my ability to help you care for your loved ones, too.
