Many Sunday afternoons when I was a child my parents would go to nursing homes to minister to the elderly. I believe that family ministry planted a seed in my heart making it tender toward the aged. When we moved to our current location and our children were young we would sometimes deliver "Meals on Wheels" to the needy. We used to have an elderly couple who lived across the street. Once a week, after her husband passed away I would take her on errands while my children were taking piano lessons. I've done visitation to shut-ins and elderly through our church. I also enjoy playing Scrabble with a group of ladies at the Guardian Angels Angel Ridge building each Thursday afternoon. I believe God has given me a loving and caring spirit for these people that deserve our respect.
