My experience is in working with elderly females, specifically helping my amazing mom with shopping, home tasks, conversation and games and physical therapy after her stroke. I do not have any particular license for caregiving, but I work hard, don't judge, and have a genuine love for the elderly and and interest in the stories and experiences they have to share with the world. Safety is a priority so I might be a little over-protective of the person I am caring for in the very beginning. I am learning how to play Mah Jongg, love playing cards and board games, going for walks, doing arts and crafts projects and just being a good listener. I have a good sense of humor and try to make people laugh or smile whenever possible. I am a lousy cook but I would love to work alongside someone who knows how and enjoys doing it, but just needs a safety person and/or second set of hands. I have a clean driving record and sometimes belt out song lyrics in the car whether or not I have a passenger. I am looking for occasional opportunities to assist in caring for your loved one(s). My availability for August is 7am - 4pm during week days as well as some weekend hours. Once the school year starts, I will only have weekend hours available because i will be working in a school setting during the days. I'd love to meet you and learn how I can be a part of your loved one's life journey.
