I am new to professional companion, but have a 42 year medical background in medical transcription in all aspects, know medications. I took care of my grandmother as a companion and managing her medications, meals and did the same for my mother for many years before she passed in 2020. I also cared for my Great Aunt back in the early 1990s. I have always had a love of our beloved seniors and love being around them. They have much to teach us and I was raised in a family that always took care of their elders as long as possible. I am not squeamish with wound care or anything else of physical care. I have a great sense of humor and truly find joy in being with our seniors. I am looking to do part time as of now, but if I am a good fit, would look toward leaving my at home office and turn it into anything without a desk and computer equipment. I am also well versed in explaining medical jargon of most all kind to those who don't understand it, been doing that for more years than I can count.
