Hi! So I have been told I'm a tad bit long winded ... Lol ! So please just try and hang in friend...
I am 41 years old. Mama of 3 grown children and Granny of 5 grandbabies with 1 on the way. I started working as a nurses aide or nursing assistant beside my grandmother (infectious disease LPN) at a nursing home here in Marion at the age of 19 year's old. I automatically fell in love with the job just as my granny knew I would!! I think that it has a lot to do with who I am as an individual. I'm am extremely empathetic, compassionate, caring , warm and loving. I have been told for many many years by several different people that I am a natural born care giver and I could not agree more! I have been doing this job... Over 20 years now?? I think.. yes .. wow!! Ok. It sure doesn't seem like it.. but you know what they say - time flies when you are having fun 😄 I have worked in nursing homes where I learned everything from cleaning colostomy bags to cleaning tracheas all the way to preparing a loved one for the coroner after passing... I have experience in home health private care hospice and dementia care. I have taken care of an assortment of different characters and I can say without doubt I have some experience in every aspect of caregiving without having a license or certification. I love what I do and I have excellent references. Please rest assured your loved one will shine a little brighter with me around because I insist on making your loved ones days brighter.
