I am 41 years old and I have been a caregiver for over 20 years.
I started out at the age of 18 after watching my grandma being placed in a nursing home. It was at that point that I had my first experience hearing how residents were being treated that didn’t have family to come see them on a regular basis. My grandma made me promise her that I would be a love one or companion to those who needed. I’ve been a CNA every since along with teaching Head Start for 13 years.
